Short Bio

Giulio Ferrero received his Master degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Turin , Italy, in 2012 with Master thesis entitled "A new data processing pipeline for the bioinformatic analysis of transcription factor genomic binding events". The thesis has been awarded as "Best Master's degree thesis 2011-2012" for the Master degree in Molecular and Cellular biology.

In 2015 he received his PhD degree in the PhD program of "Complex Systems for Life Sciences" with thesis entitled "Functional characterization of the human noncoding genome by integrative analysis of High-Throughput data" .

Currently he is a Post Doc at Department of Computer Science and Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences of the University of Turin. He is also member of Center of Molecular Systems Biology (SysBioM), , International Society of Computational Biology (ISCB), Società Italiana di Biofisica e Biologia Molecolare and Bioinformatics Italian Society .

His current research interests are in the area of omics data integration, next generation sequencing data analysis, noncoding RNA biomarker discovery and functional predicton and in systems biology.
