Short bio
Ilaria Torre obtained her PhD in Scienze e Progetto della Comunicazione
at the Università degli Studi di Torino, with a thesis on the
user modelling process in adaptive hypermedia systems.
Since 2002 she is researcher, area INF/01 (Computer Science), Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia,
Department of Computer Science, at the University of Turin. She teaches the courses
Applied computer science: networks and applications
(Laurea Triennale in Scienze della Comunicazione) and
Intelligent systems for communication
(Laurea Specialistica in Comunicazione nella Società dell’Informazione).
She is also member of the Collegio Docenti for PhD in Scienze del Linguaggio
e della Comunicazione.
She is author of a book and of about 30 papers in international journals,
books and conferences. In PRIN 2005 she was responsible of the Unit
of Torino in a project on adaptive mobile guides.
Research activity concerns the area of Human Computer
Interaction and Adaptive Interfaces.
