************************ CFP *************************************** 2nd International Conference on Adaptive Hypermedia and Adaptive Web Based Systems http://sirius.lcc.uma.es/AH2002/ 29/5/2002 - 31/5/2002 Malaga, Spain 2nd Workshop on Personalization in Future TV 28-5-2002 http://www.di.unito.it/~liliana/TV02/ CALL FOR PAPERS The first edition of the Personalization in Future TV workshop (TV'01) was organized in Sonthofen, Germany, in 2001, as a forum in which researchers from diverse areas such as machine learning, knowledge engineering, cognitive sciences, adaptive user interfaces, and business intelligence could share their experiences in the design, development and exploitation of user interfaces for future TV services. After the success of the TV'01 workshop, which attracted the attention of academic and industrial researchers and provided an excellent overview of the current international work in the area of digital TV, we propose the second edition of such event, to be held in Malaga within the 2nd International Conference on Adaptive Hypermedia and Adaptive Web Based Systems. Topics to be addressed during the workshop include, but are not limited to: - Position papers: new interactive services, social and business implications - Applications: TV portal architectures, personal TV recommender systems - Content access: architectures and algorithms for recommender systems, browsing and searching in locally stored content - Adaptive presentation: adaptive hypermedia techniques for EPGs, EPGs for all: adaptivity to users with special needs adaptive provision of news, content and media fusion - Interaction: new browsing paradigms, conversational interfaces - Management of the user model: bootstrapping, acquisition and management of individual user profiles - Security and privacy aspects in TV services - Context-awareness: single user vs. multiple users, context detection and integration (mood, time, location, ...) - Community formation and social influences, peer-to-peer interaction - Personalized streaming media: infrastructures for interactive media platforms and infrastructures for personalized services ubiquitous computing environments - System demonstrations SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: All papers must include in the first page: the title, author's name(s), affiliation, mailing address, phone number, e-mail, home page URL, and abstract (not longer than 200 words) and up to five keywords. The size of original submission is limited to 2 pages for system demonstrations, 4 pages for position papers and 8 pages for full papers. Accepted papers will be presented during the workshop sessions and can be accompanied with system demonstrations. All authors wishing to demonstrate their systems should provide their own equipment; moreover, they should specify whether they need an internet connection for the demo. Papers should be prepared as PostScript or PDF files, written in Times, 11pt and printable on A4 paper or US Letter. If possible, the papers should be formatted according to the guidelines used for the papers of the main conference. Suitable templates (LaTex2e | LaTex | Tex | MS Word (PC) | MS Word (Mac)) can be retrieved from the LNCS Web site at the following URL: http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. Electronic submission of the URL address of the paper is preferred, although e-mail submissions of the Postscript/PDF files will be accepted. WORKSHOP PROCEEDINGS: All contributions will be made available in a Web site before the AH2002 Conference, so that people can read them in advance. In addition, the Proceedings will be published as an informal Annex to the main Conference Proceedings.
