Simone Pernice received his Master degree in Mathematics from the University of Turin , Italy, in 2016 with Master thesis entitled "Analysis of Markovian agent models through Fluid approximation".

In 2021 he received his Ph.D. degree in the PhD program of Computer Science from the University of Turin, Italy, with the thesis entitled "Modeling and analysis of biological complex systems".

Currently, he is Post Doc at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Turin. He is also a member of (i) the Quantitative Biology group of the University of Turin, (ii) Laboratorio Infolife del Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l'Informatica (CINI), and (iii) the Bioinformatics ITalian Society (BITS).

His current research interests are in the area of mathematical/computational modeling and simulation techniques of complex systems, and the analysis of longitudinal data (i.e., time course).

He has been a visiting Ph.D. student (5 months) at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge, awarded with the Erasmus + traineeship Program.
