  • Open formats and Open Source programs in the Public Administration.
A document(pdf, ps), written in italian, supporting: 1) the use of open source models to develop software, and 2) the use of electronic formats with public tecnical specifications by the public administrations.
  • Abstract Artistic License
    • Abstract-Artistic-License.ps defines the first release of Abstract Artistic Licence (AAL). AAL was initially defined to support the development of a web site where Open Source principles ( http://www.opensource.org) are applied to the development of scientific papers (see OSS-site.ps.)

However, AAL gives also some contributions to the whole idea of Open Source licences. AAL is a simple, and consistent license kernel, that can be partially instantiated and/or restricted, to tailor it for the needed purposes. I-0.0-AAL is one of all the possible instances, given in this document as well.

This document, concludes by showing how to use AAL into files.

    • Insert Abstract-Artistic-License.txt into any source file to put it under the Abstract Artistic License, or any of its instances.
    • Download Abstract-Artistic-License.tar.gz, which contains the source, and the object of Abstract Artistic License, to modify it or to produce an instance of it.
    • OSS-site.ps proposes how to apply the principles of Open Source (http://www.opensource.org) to the production of scientific papers.

The document proposes to develop a public domain archive, storing the sources, in broad sense, of, at least, parts of scientific papers, and outlines possible advantages to have such an archive.

The sources in the archive would fall under the Open Source license I-0.0-AAL (see Abstract-Artistic-License.ps.)

The document concludes with some idea about how pushing to their limits the ideas it starts from.

OSS-site.tar.gz contains both sources, and objects files of OSS-site.ps.
