M3Lab is a research laboratory jointly runned by
CSP and CIRC
(a research center of the University of Torino).
The goal of the lab is the research and development of
multimedia innovative solutions for mobile users
and workers, by designing and developing new services,
personalized with respect to the user and the context of use.
The current activity of the lab is mainly focused on the
UbiquiTO project. UbiquiTO is a Web-based system that acts
as an expert tourist guide for mobile users, filtering the information and
delivering it in the most appropriate way,
depending on the device being used and on the interaction context.
UbiquiTO is based on a multi-agent architecture in which the various agents
cooperate in order to integrate different a
daptation strategies. UbiquiTO adapts the content provided and the
interaction to the user interests and physical location,
as well as to the devices and context conditions.
M3lab participates also in the DIADI 2000
Project
