ontologies and lexical resources

We relied on ontologies of emotional categories + multilingual lexicons, affective and sentiment lexicons.

ontologies

  • OntoEmotion4arsemotica (available soon): OntoeEmotion is an OWL ontology developed by NIL (Madrid) where emotions are structured and organized in levels, trying to integrate the results of the most recent psychological models. OntoEmotion contains 87 emotional concepts and was conceived for categorizing emotiondenoting words. Each class was populated by instances, originally consisting in words from English and Spanish.
In OntoEmotion4aesemotica we enriched such ontology with over 450 Italian emotional words, by using the multilingual lexical database MultiWordNet and its affective domain WordNet-Affect.
