Federica Cena received her PhD in 2007 in the area of semantic web for distributed user-adaptive applications. She is working on user modeling, personalization, ubiquitous computing and Semantic Web for user modeling and adaptation In the last years, she is mainly devoted in studying the implications of Internet of Things for user model and personalisation, with a special focus on assistive applications for cognitive disabilities.

She has served as a program committee member of several international conferences and workshops. She is the organizer of several international workshop on user modeling and ubiquitous computing.
